As always at this time of year, the outdoor cricket season is creeping up on us...
It's been very pleasing to see excellent attendance at the Junior nets on Thursday nights - reminder those finish next week - 23rd March, and at the Adult Team nets at Mill Hill School also on Thursdays (7.30-8.30pm).
For those who aren't aware, since October last year we have for the first time formed an "Elite Junior Training Squad" made up of our most promising 14-17 year olds whom we want to push on into Adult cricket. They have been receiving weekly coaching from Paul Weekes, ex-Middlesex and England player and have really committed themselves as a group to the exercise. I'm sure it will reap dividends in the summer.
In terms of nets from here till the season:
1. Junior practice will after this week move OUTSIDE to Rowley Lane Sports Ground (London Maccabi Lions) on Sundays. Starting on 9 April through to the end of the Junior season - 10-11am U11s, 11-12pm U13/U15.
2. Adult nets carry on at Mill Hill School on Thursday 7.30-8.30pm till the end of April (no net 23 March due to exams at the school).
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can all Juniors and Adults pay subscriptions now to our bank account:
Juniors: £300 (please enquire for outdoor only rate)
Adult teams: £200 (£125 students) all matches and nets; OR
£25 Subscription plus £5 per net and £15 per match (£10 students).
